Re-wild your body, reconnect with nature
I guide people in re-wilding their bodies—a process of returning to your most authentic, instinctual self in dialogue with nature.
Are you seeking to develop deeper connection with nature?
Explore plant communication?
Re-wild your movement?
Nine years of monthly return to Hackney Marshes — common land in the heart of London — is the ground from which this work grows. That sustained relationship with one place and land now sits at the centre of my programme, through my monthly year group Moving with the Seasons, which meets on the Marshes throughout the year, and my six-month online mentorship Moving with the Land, which helps you connect to a piece of land wherever you live.
From this practice of monthly return and movement on the Marshes, I wrote a book How to be feral: movement practices to re-wild your body about reclaiming the wisdom of our bodies and the earth. Over six of those years, filmmaker Dominique Rivoal came with me each month to film, and that long shared attention became We Are Grass, We Are Plants, We Are Hackney Marshes: a four-screen immersive film installation with 3D sound, asking audiences to stop being spectators and become the landscape itself.
